Day One
Arrival – Meet and greet at Entebbe international airport by our driver/guide for transfer to your overnight accommodation in Kampala.

Day Two
Kampala – Bwindi Forest National Park
Your driver and guide for the safari picks you up from your overnight accommodation to head south-west via the equator and Masaka town. We will have lunch en route, after which we will proceed through to Kabale Uganda’s most elevated town and on through the magnificent Kigezi highlands and on to Bwindi National Park. Today’s journey involves many hours of travelling but is very fulfilling for the interesting things you get to see along the way like great scenery views, local farms, people, markets and the Ankole long horned cattle among others.

Day Three
Gorilla tracking – Bwindi Forest National Park
After breakfast, we head to the information center for a briefing before embarking on the long awaited trek. Gorilla trekking may last from 3 hours up to 8 hours or more of the day sometimes under wet conditions. It is advisable to bring along sturdy hiking boots, rain poncho and be physically ready. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of the mountain gorillas is surely the most exciting and poignant wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Return to the lodge for a well-deserved hot shower and rest.

Day Four
Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast depart Bwindi full of life time memories of your experience with the great mountain gorillas heading to Lake Mburo National park to break the journey. Enjoy a relaxed evening in this serene wilderness home of giant eland and zebras among other wildlife plus bird species.

Day Five
Lake Mburo National Park – Kampala
After breakfast go out for a nature walk in the park accompanied by an armed ranger and walk past the salt lick where a lot wildlife come for a saltlick to nourish themselves. On return from this activity head out for the drive to Kampala with a stop at the equator line and continue to Entebbe for the night.

Day Six
Entebbe – Nairobi- Masai Mara National Reserve
Today we catch an early morning flight to Nairobi and on arrival our driver/guide picks you up to continue to Masai Mara National Reserve on a journey of about 270km from Nairobi. The drive lasts 4-6 hours on a road that’s partly tar and the other part of it dirt bumpy road. Domestic flights are also possible and last between 40 -50 minutes. Masai Mara National Reserve covers about 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. This wildlife reserve is like no other with over 95 mammal and 570 bird species with each of them featuring in big populations to be easily spotted on a game drive. For the incredible wildebeest migration a visit in the months of July – October is great, another that the reserve is open all year and offers incomparable opportunities for viewing the big cats and big five.

Day Seven
Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast head out with our lunch boxes for an engaging day in the park searching for the big cats besides other animals like elephants, giraffes, and several other animals and bird species.

Day Eight
Masai Mara
After breakfast visit a Masai community to learn about their culture, general way of life and interact with them. The traditional Masai village locally known as a Manyatta is made up of small wattle and cow dung huts with grass thatched roofs. The huts are built in a circle formation leaving a yard in the middle for the livestock. A thorny hedge is built around the manyatta for protection against wild night predators looking to prey on the livestock. A morning visit to the village takes you to learn about the local customs and see the women and girls milking cows and goats before the herders take the cattle out for grazing on the Mara plains.

Day Nine
Masai Mara-Nairobi
Return to Nairobi after an early breakfast to catch an evening flight to transfer to Zanzibar.

Day Ten
Kenya – Zanzibar/ Stone Town/spice tour
After a relaxed breakfast you’re picked up from your overnight hotel at 9:00am start with a drive to go for a walking tour around Historical Stone Town, taking you through fabled Stone Town, where history seems to stand still. Today we visit the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People’s Palace) and the Arab Fort amongst others, which will reveal to you the charm of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding passageways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless antique mosques among others.
From here we’ll drive to Nungwi.

Day Eleven
Zanzibar Island
Have a relaxed breakfast and either remain at your Hotel by the beach or depart for a days’ excursion at 7:00am.Today’s activities include: a visit to Jozani Forest to see the mangroves and red colobus monkeys among other species and a visit to Kizimkazi, a fishing village situated on the southern part of the Island. Kizimkazi is home to several schools of bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins that are easily sighted on a short boat trip from the village. Each day is unique but there are good chances of swimming quite close to the dolphins which is a very gratifying experience. We end today at about 17:00hours.

Day twelve
After breakfast head out for a swim in the hotel pool and enjoy some dives into the water for most of the morning if you wish, and after lunch get transferred to Zanzibar Airport to catch your connecting flight home.
